Eluveitie’s Simeon Leaves The Band!

After 8 years of being apart of Swiss Folk Metal band, Eluveitie, Simeon says farewell. According to the band, he was thinking about this decision for quite some time. After pondering on his decision, he sealed his fate with leaving Eluveitie. Instead of playing guitar in a band, he decided to set out new goals in his life, both family and vocational. He left on good terms with the band, who appreciated his time and work. On September 20th and 29th, Simeon will appear as a special guest for Eluveitie on those dates.

Here is Simeon’s statement for leaving:
A couple of months ago I informed my band mates, that I’ll leave Eluveitie in September 2012 for familial reasons. It was a very tough call, it was difficult to make this decision – in a way the band is part of the family too, after all.
I will dearly miss Eluveitie. But fortunately the world (or rather Switzerland) is small: I will still play the upcoming shows in Solothurn’s Kofmehl and the Eluveitie & Friends festival with full commitment!
I wish the band all the best and accident-free upcoming tours!”

With that being said, Eluveite announces who will be filling in the spotlight for their upcoming tours. Please welcome Mr. Rafael Salzmann! He will be Eluveitie’s live session guitarist. Rafael is a very talented guitarist, and should play Eluveite’s tunes with ease!

We wish Sime the best of luck with his goals and life! Don’t forget to come check out Eluveite, as they wreak havoc on North America with Wintersun and Varg this winter!
