Groundbreaking, internationally acclaimed progressive instrumental act ANIMALS AS LEADERS are proud to announce their first-ever tour dates in Japan. These shows will be the beginning of an international tour supporting Between The Buried And Me that will also see the bands travel through Australia and New Zealand together. In addition, AAL will headline the Rock Party Festival in Long Beach, CA on Sept. 29. Full dates can be found below.
ANIMALS AS LEADERS continue to tour in support of their critically acclaimed 2011 release “Weightless,” one of the five highest-charting releases in PROSTHETIC RECORDS history. The group’s 8-string guitarist, Tosin Abasi, was recently featured alongside Steve Vai on the cover of Guitar World.
Due to popular demand, Prosthetic recently repressed both ANIMALS AS LEADERS albums on vinyl. Their 2009 self-titled debut — a double-LP featuring a gatefold Stoughton jacket with enhanced album artwork and 3-D imagery, custom AAL 3-D glasses and the bonus track “Wave of Babies” — is still available on clear, transparent gold and 180-gram black vinyl, while “Weightless” — housed in a custom Stoughton jacket featuring the band’s die-cut circular logo — is now available on gray marble, white and 180-gram black wax. All colors can be ordered at Prosthetic’s webshop, where more information (including pressing details) can be found; the black vinyl variants are also now on sale once again at select retailers worldwide.
